The Political Science Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (Dipol FISIP), Nusa Cendana University or Undana Kupang, organized a Social Science Research Methodology Training.
The Social Science Research Methodology Training was held to enhance the research methodology capacity of the faculty members.
This event took place over 4 days, from June 1st to June 4th, 2022, at the Kristal Hotel in Kupang.
This training is part of the researcher capacity enhancement program in the Citres-Norhed II Capacity Building Program for the year 2022 to enhance the research capabilities of teaching staff and researchers in the Fisip environment, particularly in Dipol Undana Kupang.
Dean of Fisip Undana Kupang Dr. Melkisdek NBC Neoloka, represented by Jacob Wadu, the Vice Dean I, stated that this activity is highly important for academics and social and political researchers.
According to the Dean of Fisip, this methodology training is crucial as it contributes to understanding the paradigms of social and political science, which are essential for conducting high-quality research.
“Quality research will undoubtedly generate knowledge that is beneficial for the development of science on one hand, and the practices of social and political life on the other,” explained Melki Dala in his address on Thursday (2/6/2022).
However, unfortunately, trainings like these are rarely conducted by the university.
Therefore, this activity becomes a very valuable momentum initiated by Dipol Fisip Undana Kupang.
“This activity is expected to have a positive impact on enhancing the quality of the process and products of research, which support the Tri Dharma, especially in the development of social and political science,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Coordinator of Dipol Fisip Undana, Ezrah DNA Benu, stated that this methodology training is aimed at enhancing the research capacity of teaching staff and researchers, especially in Dipol Fisip Undana Kupang, through an understanding of the paradigms of social and political science, which are currently experiencing quite complex developments.
