Research
SUSTAIN conducts research related to natural resource governance and energy transition. SUSTAIN’s research involves collaboration between PolGov faculty members and researchers in conducting research and publications.
Training and Workshop
SUSTAIN provides opportunities for staff to enhance their quality, competencies, and knowledge. The training provided includes English language training, curriculum development, and module creation.
Staff and Student Mobility
This program serves as a dedicated platform for staff and students of partner universities to engage in mobility to other partner universities. It offers opportunities to explore new experiences and knowledge for both staff and students, enriching their understanding beyond the campus environment and field locations. In 2023, a total of 2 staff mobility programs and 2 student mobility programs were conducted, with the following details:

Small Grants
The project supports staff members to deepen their expertise and competencies on the project research agenda by delivering small-scale research grants. The grant benefited 14 groups, totaling 48 faculty members including students. The program opened opportunities for the inter-departmental network to expand the scope of their studies into new areas of research development.

Scholarship
The scholarship program is a key aspect of the project’s efforts to enhance people’s capabilities and the capacities of higher education institutions. SUSTAIN scholarship is open for master and doctoral program study with full scholarship including tuition fee, living cost, research fee, and graduation fee.
The project allocated a significant amount of funds and established a strategic purpose to retain talented individuals within their field of study for further studies at UGM. In 2022-2023, a total of 5 (five) master’s scholarships, 3 (three) PhD Scholarship, and 1 (one) partial PhD scholarship were awarded.
