As the end of 2022, the Department of Political Science at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Universitas Bangka Belitung (UBB) held an academic writing for scientific writing at the Swiss-Bel Hotel Pangkalpinang for final students in the group of 2016 to 2019.
This writing workshop is part of a series of collaborative activities between the Department of Political Science at UBB and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in the CitRes-Net Norhed II Program until 2026.
According to the Coordinator of the Academic Writing for Scientific Works Workshop at the Department of Political Science, Komang Jaka Ferdian, this activity present as an additional stimulus for students to enhance their skills in prepare their undergraduate theses.
“Participants of this workshop are students who have draft of undergraduate thesis proposal. Students who don’t have it are not eligible to participate this activity,” said Komang Jaka Ferdian.
The rector of UBB, Ibrahim, also attended in this workshop as a speaker. Ibrahim explained completing the undergraduated thesis does not need much energy compared to attend lectures and spend time on theory lecture. “Students need to determine their studies. A thesis can be completed in one semester while complete theory lecture takes five semesters. Accordingly, student need to make sure not to spend much time in completing their thesis.” Ibrahim emphasized.
